His Lordship, Most Rev. Dr. Malcum Ranjith, Archbishop of Colombo has emphasized that the healthy atmosphere required for solving problems in Sri Lanka by is own people through their unity has dawned, and there, the world community should contribute and support such moves and efforts by the Sri Lankans.

His Lordship observed that Sri Lanka is in the path of rapid development, proceeding step by step through co-existence. He underscored the fact, that the world community and the Sri Lankan Expatriates should extend their cooperation and support.

The Archbishop, also stated that he organize a special programme in association with the religious hierarchy of the country to emphasize and convince the world community to refrain from unwanted mediation in the affairs in Sri Lanka.

The Archbishop expressed the views when Mr Anura Srirwardena, Chairman, Independent Television Network called on him at the Archbishop’s House in Colombo.

His Lordship extended much praise for the independent Television Network for fostering goodwill and promoting co-existence through its media contribution towards peace among communities, wiping off envy, grudge, differences and division.
